Curriculum for Excellence - Free Display Resource
"The purpose of the programme is to improve the learning, attainment and achievement of children and young people in Scotland. It is also about ensuring that pupils achieve on a broad front, not just in terms of examinations. It is important to ensure that children and young people are acquiring the full range of skills and abilities relevant to growing, living and working in the contemporary world. Curriculum for Excellence aims to ensure that they will enjoy greater choice and opportunity to help realise their individual talents."

This is another great find via twitter - diigo is a great website for listing your favourite websites. It is great as I can now access my favourie links when I am away from my home computer and my iphone...if I ever get one :)
You can also join groups to find lists of websites to suit your own interests. I have set up a teaching links and free educational resources group here.
I still have lots to discover on diigo, it is early days for me and I am enjoying bookmarking all my favourite sites...the best bit is, it is so easy to use.

This link will take you to a thread on TES where a group called the Parasites (personally not keen on the name) list free resources. All the websites offer different resources and ideas for Teachers. A selection of these websites are noteed below -
http://www.ks1resources.co.uk/ - Marilyn's website is in support of the children's charity CLIMB.
http://www.primaryclassroomresources.co.uk/ - stock Usborne books and Orchard toys.
http://www.teachers-take-away.com/ - are now stocking stationery and educational toys.
http://www.primaryresourcecentre.com/ - now offer a peg labeling service, which may be helpful when setting up your new classroom for the next term.
http://www.communication4all.co.uk/HomePage.htm - The resources of communication4all help to support inclusion. They have a super range of resources to support early years education.
It is worth visiting the Parasites link to see the range of resources that you can quickly access to aid you with planning, assessment and classroom display. I hope to mention more of these fantastic websites on my blog very soon!
If you have a website or link you think would be worth adding to our site or would like a mention in our blog please email me and I will do my best to help you.

Today I have created topic display papers and backgrounds to link to the topics in our free resources section. All our resources in the free section are instant printable downloads, we do require you to register (registration is free) as this allows us to keep tack of the most popular resources.

I am working on creating further classroom display resources linked to the topics you have to teach - so please email me if there are any topics you would like to see in our free resources section.

I also hope in the coming weeks to upload the worksheets we had on our previous website as I understand that with the holidays approaching (and reports to write) you may like some worksheets you can quickly lay your hands on.....anything to save some precious time! :)

We have had a couple of emails asking why we need to have a registration process. Although we have replied to these emails I just wanted to highlight here, that registration is FREE and the only purpose it serves is for us to keep a closer eye on which downloads are the most popular and which ones are not doing so well :( .......oh, and it also allows us to keep in touch and send you mail with our latest news and developments!
We are currently trying to upload a 'Birthday Display' but the file is quite large...fingers crossed it will appear very soon.

Thanks again for all your kind emails

We started just-teaching 4 years ago as a means to sell teaching resources imported from America. Interest in our products grew and we wanted to offer our customers free downloads so for that reason just-teaching.co.uk was launched.
Last year we thought the site could do with an overhaul and wanted a more user friendly look. We have been working really hard behind the scenes to produce our new website www.just-teaching.com and although we will continue to sell our products, we are now working hard to upload a higher quality of downloads and furthermore want to use the site as a portal to promote other fantastic Teaching websites.
In the future our blog will feature articles showcasing the talents of relevant websites that we love.
So who are we?
Kerry - I am a Primary Teacher currently on maternity leave, my days are kept busy with our baby and running just-teaching. I also have a BAhons in design, I have a great love of computer aided design and previously worked in the design industry before returning to university to gain a Post Graduate degree in Education
Ross- I am a design studio manager also with a BAhons in design. I have experience of web design and run my own company www.digitaldesignscotland.co.uk. I have enjoyed working on the new just-teaching website and hope it will now fulfill its new role promoting other websites whilst still being a successful enterprise for us.
